The simplicity of the Inverted Pleats is extremely elegant and works well within both contemporary and traditional schemes. I would recommend that Inverted Pleats hang below the pole to allow enough space to fall as they should.  They work equally well skimming above floor level or tumbling softly onto the floor.  I always interline my own curtains as not only does it soften the pleat and make them look fantastically sumptuous, but it also prolongs the life of the curtain as it supports the fabric so they keep their beautiful shape for longer.  Interlining can also help with insulation.
